Hello!  We're glad you're taking a few moments to visit this site.  The primary topic of this site is SEXUAL PURITY, and the information you'll find here is based upon the following seven principles.

1.  Sexuality is a huge issue for most men!

There is no topic more central to masculinity than sexuality.  It's central to who we are as men.  It's central to our self-image as men.  It's something we think about more than virtually anything else.  It typically represents the most common and deepest struggle that many Christian men face in their lives.  Think of what it took to bring down King David, the friend of God.  The lion and the bear couldn't bring him down.  The jealous wrath of King Saul couldn't bring him down.  The Philisitne giant, Goliath, couldn't bring him down.  The armies of enemy nations like the Moabites and Ammonites couldn't bring him down.  No, it took the beauty of a woman, Bathsheba, to bring down this great man of God.  From the roof he saw a woman bathing.  The woman was very beautiful, and David sent... (I Samuel 11:2-3)   

2.  Every Christian man struggles to one degree or another to honor God with his sexuality!

Imagine a "Purity Scale" from one through ten.  Number one represents the most twisted, perverted sexual deviant you can imagine.  It might be a sexual preditor who stalks, rapes, and then murders his victims.   Number ten represents the most holy man you've ever known.  He virtually never struggles with his sexuality in any way.  Most of us as Christian men do not live at either end of this spectrum, but rather we slide up and down the middle of the scale depending on the kind of week we happen to be having, the current state of affairs in our relationship with our wife, or any number of other issues or influences.  Regardless of who you are or how well you are doing in this area of life, surly there is always room for improvement.  The information related on this site is not intended for perverts and sex addicts.  It's intended for regular Christian guys like you and I who struggle, but who are sincerely interested in higher levels of victory in our sexuality. 

3.  There is a conspicuous level of silence concerning sexuality in the Christian community! 

In spite of the fact that sexuality is such a big issue for most men, and represents the deepest battle many men ever face, the Church remains conspicously silent on this issue.  As a result, many good men are left to fight their deepest battles all alone in the shadows of silence and shame.  I know becasue I was one of them for many years.  Given the opportunity to attend a class on how to honor God with your finances, understanding end-time prophecy, how to do personal evangelism, or sexuality, I believe most Christian men would choose the class on sexuality.  Men are hungry for help in this area of their lives, and it is time for the Church to offer men honest disscussions and help where "the rubber meets the road".     

4.  Purity is God's will for every Christian man!

Honor God with your body. (I Corinthians 6:19-20)

It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy, honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen... (I Thessalonians 4:3-8)

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. (Ephesians 5:3)

5.  There is a very real enemy who literally wants to destroy your life!

Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (I Peter 5:8)

Satan and his cohorts are not pretend characters like the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz, or the Joker in Batman.  He is a very real character in the story of the universe, and he literally wants to destroy your life, and everything of significance in your life, including your marriage, your children, your family, your finances, your testimony, your future, and your very life.  If this seems unreal to you, far away and fairy tale, you better wake up from your slumber because you're in more danger than you know.  For many men, the primary vehicle the enemy uses to reduce them from the status of Warrior Poet to the status of P.O.W. is sexual sin, bondage, captivity, and addiction.  I know because I was one of them for many years.

6.  Jesus alone has the power to deliver us from sexual sin and to empower us to honor God with our sexuality!

In a central passage of the bible, the very passage Jesus himself choose to quote in his very first sermon when he started his public ministry, Jesus reveals the very reason he came to planet earth.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners... (Isaiah 61:1)

Jesus alone has the power to bring freedom from our captivities and light to the prisons of our darkness.  If we ever honor God in a greater way with our sexuality, it will be because of his holy work in our lives, and no other reason.

7.  The pathway to freedom and higher levels of victory is the pathway of repentance!

God has only provided one solution for the dilema of sin, and that solution is Jesus.  And the only way to get to Jesus is through repentance.  Freedom will never come through trying harder.  It will never come through the power of self-effort or reformation.  It will never come through the gospel of tips and techniques.  It will only come when we stop candy coating, justifying, minimizing and rationalizing our sin, when we start agreeing with God's assessment of our true moral and spiritual condition, and begin crying out to Jesus from broken, contrite and humble hearts.  In other words, when we repent!  It's then that Jesus will do what he does best.  He will bind up our brokenness, bring freedom from our captivities, and release from our prisons.  I know, because that's what he did for me.  Glory to God!
