The very first step you must take, if you are interested in experiencing God's resources and power in your life, including the power to honor God with your sexuality, is salvation.  Jesus said, "You must be born again." John 3:3  What he essentially meant by this is that we have to have a new beginning for our lives.  The reason for this is that virtually every one of us will make nothing more than a mess with our lives without God.  "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23  You see, we were never intended to live our lives apart from God.  The fact is that we are not big enough, smart enough, wise enough, or strong enough to manage our own lives without God.  Of course, many people manage to create a comfortable life for themselves in this world without God as part of their life, but when their short lives are over and they have to stand before God without Jesus to defend them, they will realize just how wrong the entire basis of their life has been.  The fact is we all need Jesus, and when Jesus becomes our Savior, it's like starting life all over again.  The first time around we did it our way.  This time around, with Jesus, we are going to do it God's way!

     The good news is that God loves us and literally offers us the free gift of eternal life through his son, Jesus Christ.  Jesus was God.  He came to this earth, lived a sinless life, went to the cross, died for the sins of the world, and came back from the dead three days later.  When we ask Jesus to be our Savior, the bible says that we instantly become the child of God.  Our sins are forever paid for by the blood of Christ on the cross.  We are forgiven in God's eyes.  The Holy Spirit literally comes to live within our hearts, and when we die we are assured a place in heaven.  When Jesus becomes our Savior, it's like starting life all over again!

"I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life." John 6:47

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

If you realize your need for Jesus, and you would like to invite him into your life to be your Savior, you are invited to pray the following prayer.

"Dear Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and I need you to be my Savior.  I understand that you love me, that you died on the cross for my sins, and you came back from the dead three days later.  I ask you to come into my life, to take away my sins, to make me your child, and to take me to heaven when I die.  Thank you for hearing my prayer Jesus.  I pray all these things in your name, Amen."

If you sincerely prayed this prayer, upon the authority of God's holy word, you are now a child of God.  God is in your life for real, and he will empower you to begin to grow, change, and live a life that is honoring to him, including your sexuality.  It's time to start your life over again!
